Bear – 1yrs – Staffie x Husky – Male (RESERVED)

Our boy Bear was rehomed to the most fantastic family at the end of August, though unfortunately they have had to make the devastating decision to rehome him. His owners have done so much amazing work with him in this short time, he is super responsive to training, so loving and charismatic. They have worked with trainers and behaviourists to give him the best start in getting used to life at home. But sadly he is just too big, strong and bouncy to control himself around young children. He does not realise that young ones are delicate and need to be left alone. We ideally need help from a foster family to begin with, without children younger than early to mid teens, to take him on and continue his training and keep him happy and healthy while we continue looking for his perfect forever home. He would be better suited to a household with no other pets initially, though in future once he is comfortable and settled he may be able to live with another dog. He has got much better, but still expresses the signs of an under-socialised dog, so many things are overwhelming!
We have lots more information about Bear as we know him at the centre and his progress at home, that we can discuss in order to find the right fit! If you think you could be the right fit as a foster or forever family, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
