O’Malley – 6yrs – Male

O’Malley is a firm favourite with the team here at RSPCA Thanet, and it’s not hard to see why! This playful, sweet boy has come on leaps and bounds since joining us, going from an initially nervous, cautious boy to the friendly, curious guy we know and love today. When undisturbed, O’Malley loves nothing better than a great cat nap, but as soon as he realises someone is near, he is immediately ready to say hello with a gorgeous loud meow. He really enjoys a good stroke, but is still learning how much fuss he likes. As such, he can get a little overstimulated, and sometimes needs some space to then be able to come back and enjoy more fuss later – it’s all on his terms. O’Malley is also still learning how he feels about new people, he can be initially excited and looks for fuss, but can also become uncomfortable and can be reactive or take himself away if so. With plenty of patience and understanding, we believe he will continue to develop his confidence and working out what boundaries he is comfortable with. O’Malley loves to play, enjoying Kickeroos and string/dangly toys in particular. We’re looking for a home where he can be the only furry friend, and can live with an adults only. O’Malley will need access to an outdoor space to explore when he is happy and settled in his new home. O’Malley also has a mild health condition that we would be happy to discuss with any potential adopters.
