Charlie – 4yrs – Male

Meet Charlie, a charming former stray who is looking for a home where he can enjoy both independence and companionship. Having spent much of his life outdoors, Charlie would love a home where he can continue to explore while also enjoying all the comforts of cosy home. Understandably, he took a little time to settle into the cattery environment, but once comfortable he quickly showed his affectionate and sociable nature. Charlie absolutely adores fuss and attention, often chatting away to anyone passing by. He loves nothing more than finding a sunny spot to relax in, often curling up on his steps to watch the world go by. Charlie is also incredibly food motivated and will do just about anything for a tasty treat.

While he enjoys human company, he prefers calm, gentle interactions and has a low tolerance for prolonged fuss, giving a gentle nip or swipe to communicate when he has had enough. As a result, he is looking for owners who can recognise and respect his boundaries. Charlie is not yet comfortable with extensive handling or grooming brushes, however these remain a work in progress as he continues to build trust. Although he has not shown much interest in toys during his time in our care, we are hopeful that his playful side will emerge once he is settled into a home environment. Charlie would thrive in a peaceful home that can offer him patience, understanding, and access to the outdoors. He is looking for a home with no other animals and secondary school aged children or older that allow him to settle in on his own terms.
