Tyra – 12yrs – Female

Tyra is one of our friendly older cats, looking for her purrfect retirement home. Settling in to our cattery environment was a little stressful at first, but she was happy to seek out human reassurance and she lives for attention and strokes. If left to her own devices, this lovely lady will simply relax comfortably and snooze the day away. However when her humans are around, she will call out for head strokes and chin scratches, and her delightful purr will soothe anyone’s day.

We haven’t seen much interest in playing from Tyra, but this may change when in her forever home, or she may just prefer to simply relax with your company in her retirement years. Whatever you are doing however, she won’t miss a trick as she is a nosey little lady, especially when moving her belongings around.

Tyra is a cat that likes to keep all paws on the floor, but she will rub around you in thanks for not being picked up. Grooming is a love/hate game for her as she enjoys the bonding and attention of a gentle groom, but she will guide you away from the areas are just too tickly for her.

Tyra is on a continued special diet for a special girl, and may need ongoing meds for her to live life to the fullest.

Tyra is a professional attention seeker, so would prefer to be the only cat in the home. She will probably spend more time inside, however she will require outdoor access, when she’s ready.
We believe she could live with cool, calm and collected children of secondary school age or older. We also feel Tyra would prefer not to live with a dog.
