Bear – 1yrs – Male – Staffie X

This handsome chap is Bear, a young and playful pup looking for his forever home. Bear is your typical boisterous Staffie, he loves to run and play, but is also learning lots of new tricks and manners. Bear can relax in his own space but is very people oriented and needs a family who are able to give him lots of time and attention. Bear may initially be cautious around new people, but will often relax quickly if treats are involved!
Bear is a BIG foodie, he is always ready for the next meal but is very gentle around food and when taking treats. He has a very clever brain and needs lots of stimulation; this may be with play, training or enrichment (he loves a simple cardboard box filled with newspaper and treats).

Bear is learning how to be alone, this will need to be worked on slowly at home. We believe Bear would suit a home with children of a secondary school age and up, he has shown he is well behaved around other dogs, but would benefit from being the only animal at home, at least whilst he settles in to life with his new family. We would require Bear to attend the 5 week training course that we offer at adoption, and he would benefit from continuous training thereafter.
He has coped well during off-site activities, but was not thoroughly socialised before coming into our care, so Bear’s experience of the big wide world needs to be taken at his own pace.
