Daphne – 2yrs – Female
This is Daphne, a confident and inquisitive rabbit who is looking for a home where she can continue to thrive. She is a wonderfully friendly girl who enjoys being involved in whatever is going on around her, and is never far away when food is on offer, especially if raspberries are involved. Daphne is quick to investigate new things and will often be one of the first to greet you to ensure she doesn’t miss out on the adventure. She will also happily accept a fuss, and particularly enjoys a head scratch from people she trusts.
Following changes within her previous bond, Daphne has been enjoying life as an independent rabbit and has really allowed her own personality to shine through. While she is confident and people oriented, we would love the opportunity for her to be bonded with a suitable male companion in her new home. Daphne does have a very mild, ongoing health condition in which symptoms can be exacerbated by stressful situations, so we are looking for an experienced owner who understands rabbit behaviour and can take any bonding process slowly, allowing Daphne to progress at a pace she is comfortable with.
Daphne could live either indoors or outdoors, provided she has plenty of space to explore and opportunities for enrichment. She would be suitable for a home with primary school aged children, so long as interactions are calm and respectful. As a Rex rabbit, we would encourage any prospective adopters to research the breed before enquiring, ensuring they are familiar with any specific care requirements associated with this breed.
