Ginger – Under 1yrs – Female (RESERVED)
Ginger is a friendly, young rabbit who approaches life with endless enthusiasm and curiosity. At under 1 year old, she is always keen to see what is going on around her and will often come hopping over the moment she spots people, eager to investigate and be part of the action. Ginger is incredibly sociable and enjoys attention from everyone she meets, happily accepting strokes and fuss. While most rabbits prefer to keep all four paws firmly on the ground, Ginger is remarkably relaxed when it comes to handling and is generally very tolerant of being picked up when necessary. She can become a little stressed during health checks, but settles quickly and takes everything in her stride.
One of Ginger’s greatest loves in life is food. Whether it’s a snuffle mat, puzzle ball, forage toy or treats offered by hand, she is always ready to put her excellent problem solving skills to use. She is highly food motivated and thrives on enrichment, making her a joy to provide activities for. Ginger is also wonderfully inquisitive and likes to be involved in whatever her people are doing. Cleaning time is a particular favourite as she’s often found investigating the equipment and simply making sure everything is being done to her standards!
As a youngster, Ginger has plenty of energy and a playful nature, so she would benefit from a home that can provide lots of space, enrichment and opportunities to explore. She has previously lived around a dog, although she wasn’t always given the option to take herself away when she wanted to, so we feel she could potentially live alongside other species provided they are calm and respectful of her space. Ginger could also live with children of any age due to her friendly and outgoing nature. We would love for Ginger to find a home where she can be gradually bonded with a suitable neutered and vaccinated male rabbit companion, allowing her to enjoy rabbit companionship while settling into her new surroundings at a pace that suits her.
