Lola – 8yrs – Female

Say hello to Lola, a sweet and affectionate girl who is looking for a home where she can enjoy all the attention to herself. Lola loves spending time with people and is often quick to seek out fuss and companionship from those she knows. Although she took a few days to settle into the cattery environment, particularly as sudden movements can make her feel a little uneasy, she soon showed us her loving and sociable nature.

Lola thoroughly enjoys affection and physical interaction, but she can become overwhelmed if it continues for too long. She does however show clear signs to let you know that she’s had enough. She is particularly sensitive around her back end and tail and may choose to move away or hide if these areas are touched repeatedly. She also prefers to keep all four paws on the ground and is not especially keen on being picked up or handled as of yet.

Play is still a work in progress for Lola. She enjoys catnip and has shown an interest in kickeroos, although she remains a little unsure of dangly toys and is still building confidence around them. She can be quite vocal when travelling, but settles quickly once she is back in a familiar environment where she feels safe and secure. Lola also continues to vocalise in our cattery to ensure all attention is paid to her.

Lola has previously lived with children, although she tended to avoid younger members of the household. As such, we feel she would be best suited to a home with older secondary school children who can recognise and respect her boundaries. As Lola enjoys having her people all to herself, she is looking for a home with no other animals.
