Mavis – 2yrs – Female – Staffie X

This beautiful little sweetheart is Mavis, a wonderful Staffie X looking for her forever home. She is a gentle, initially cautious girl, who found it a little stressful to adjust to her surroundings when first joining us. She is now found relaxed in her kennel, but always excited to say hello when approached. Mavis can initially be cautious around new people, but it doesn’t take her long to come around to having new friends (especially if they offer fuss!). She also absolutely loves her food, is always ready for her next meal, and hoping that new friends will have treats with them. We’re currently going through a series of testing with Mavis to see how she interacts with other dogs. Although she does seem interested, she is also cautious and we can advise any potential adopters on the outcome of this testing. Mavis is a clever little lady and does know sit and other commands, but would benefit from being taken to training classes to keep her brain active. She can also be left alone for short periods of time. We believe Mavis would suit a home with children of a secondary school age, and although she would prefer not to live with a cat, she may be happy to live with another dog (pending the outcome of testing).
